About Us
Outfield Matters was born from a lifelong love of baseball. Curtis Braswell and John Paugh grew up surrounded by sports—Curtis’s dad was a coach, and John’s dad sold sporting goods—so the game has always been part of their lives.
Watching his two boys play baseball, John noticed a gap: many ballparks had broken scoreboards, and most didn’t have any at all. Outfield Matters was created to change that.
Youth baseball and softball draw more fans than the combined crowds of the NFL, NCAAF, and MLB. Outfield Matters brings those fields to life with free, high-quality video scoreboards that let players feel like professionals and keep families engaged.
Every installation may be a small improvement on the field, but it has a big impact on the game-day experience. By keeping boards family-friendly and easy to read, Outfield Matters helps kids focus on the game, families enjoy every moment, and communities come together around the love of baseball.
